Real Work from a Team That Actually Shows Up
Most homeowners don’t think about their electrical until something goes wrong, or until a renovation puts it front and center. When that moment comes, you want someone who picks up the phone, shows up when they say they will, explains what’s actually going on, and does the work right so you’re not dealing with it again.
That’s what the Watts Up Electric team does. Paul isn’t running a call center operation where you talk to a scheduler and meet a stranger at your door. He’s personally involved in estimates and on the job site alongside the crew. When there’s something to explain, someone explains it. When there’s a decision to make, you’re part of it.

Service Upgrades
Every 200-amp or 400-amp service upgrade from Watts Up Electric comes with a whole-house surge protection device installed at your panel at no extra cost. That’s a $495 value included in your upgrade. The SPD clamps voltage spikes before they reach your appliances, electronics, EV charger, or generator transfer switch. It’s backed by the manufacturer’s connected equipment coverage, and the installation itself is covered by our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. If we install it and it ever fails because of our work, we’ll fix it. For as long as you own the home.

FAQs
How do I know if my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?
Common signs include frequently tripped breakers, flickering lights, a panel that feels warm to the touch, or a fuse box that hasn’t been updated in decades. If you’re adding high-draw appliances like an EV charger, hot tub, or generator, your current panel may not have the capacity. Paul will take a look and give you an honest assessment, not a sales pitch.
Do you work on older homes with outdated wiring?
Yes, and we do a lot of it. Older homes in Milwaukee, Whitefish Bay, and throughout Southeast Wisconsin often have wiring that was fine for its time but doesn’t hold up to modern electrical demands or insurance requirements. We handle knob and tube removal, full rewires, and panel replacements in older homes regularly.
What does a typical residential electrical job look like from start to finish?
Paul is involved from the estimate through the final walkthrough. He’ll come out, look at what you’ve got, explain what needs to happen and why, and give you a flat-rate price before any work starts. The same crew that does the estimate does the work. We pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and make sure everything is buttoned up before we leave.
Is Watts Up Electric licensed and insured for residential work in Wisconsin?
Yes. Paul holds a licensed Master Electrician license in Wisconsin, and Watts Up Electric is fully insured. Every job is permitted and inspected where required. All of our residential work is covered by our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
