A Trade Partner You Can Actually Rely On
Commercial projects don’t have room for contractors who go quiet mid-job or show up with a crew that doesn’t know the scope. When you’re working on a tight build schedule or trying to get a business up and running, you need a licensed electrician who communicates clearly, coordinates well with other trades, and delivers work that passes inspection the first time.
Watts Up Electric is independently owned and operated, not a franchise or a PE-backed operation with layers of management between you and the people doing the work. When you call, you reach Paul. When the work starts, Paul is involved on-site. That’s what direct communication actually looks like on a commercial job.
- New construction and tenant buildouts — coordinated from rough-in through final trim
- Panel upgrades and service increases — sized for commercial load requirements
- Lighting systems — new fixture installation, layout planning, and controls
- Generator systems — Kohler Certified, we both sell and install
- EV charging infrastructure — Level 2 and commercial charging circuit installation
- Licensed Master Electrician on every job — permitted, inspected, and code-compliant

Commercial Electrical Work We Handle
FAQs
Can Watts Up Electric work directly with our general contractor or project manager?
Yes. Paul is comfortable coordinating directly with GCs, architects, and project managers throughout a job. That means one clear point of contact for the electrical scope, consistent communication on schedule and progress, and no miscommunication between trades on where things stand.
Do you work on occupied commercial buildings or only new construction?
Both. We work on tenant buildouts, facility upgrades, and service panel replacements in occupied commercial buildings, as well as new construction from the ground up. We understand that minimizing disruption to your business or tenants matters, and we plan the work around it.
Are you licensed for commercial electrical work in Wisconsin?
Yes. Paul holds a Master Electrician license in Wisconsin, and all commercial work is fully permitted and inspected. We carry appropriate insurance for commercial projects. You can ask for documentation before we start, and we’ll have it ready.
What size commercial jobs do you typically handle?
We work best with small to mid-size commercial projects, tenant buildouts, small retail and office spaces, light industrial, and service upgrades for commercial facilities. If you’re not sure whether your project is a fit, call Paul and he’ll give you a straight answer.
